Perfection is a myth.

Photobucket

Maybe you have scars on your wrists and maybe you have scars on your face. Maybe they make you look unappealing and less attractive. Maybe it makes you look like you've been through a shit-fucking-load lot of pain. But rest assured, it is your skin and no one wears it better than you do, and someday someone special would take the time to want to know the story behind every scar.

Maybe you have stubby and stumpy legs, those that have trouble keeping up with the extremely fast-paced lives that we live in. And maybe your short legs looks disproportionate to your whole body but rest assured, your legs have carried you your whole life, powering you through stormy days and restless nights and maybe someday you'd have to use your feet to tiptoe, just to reach the lips of that significant someone.

Maybe your hair doesn't glow as much as you'd liked it to in the sun. Maybe it gets frizzy when the weather's dry and maybe it doesn't fall perfectly on your shoulder like how Bruno Mars would imagine. But rest assured, it is your hair. The same hair your future significant other would love to stroke and would learn to love.

Maybe you're not as curvy as you'd always wanted to be. Maybe your curves are more generous and maybe you feel your breasts are a burden. And maybe your ass looks the curviest piece of meat on your body. But rest assured, it is your body, and someone out there will find you the fucking sexiest thing alive.

I am going to cut to the chase and tell you something you probably will believe; you are not perfect. But your flaws are. Perfection does not exist, neither does imperfection. However, scarred faces, stubby legs, frizzy hair and curvy bodies do exist. These flaws make us. It is us. And it's these flaws that we should flaunt. Nobody mirrors us, every one of us is special and unique in our own way. Out of 7 billion people, there is only one you, only one exact physical and mental representation of you, and that is you yourself. It's pretty fucking fantastic if you think about it. Your flaws single you out and sets you apart from the rest. Perhaps one day, you'll find someone who'll love you for who you are, including your flaws. And though there are bound to be more attractive people around, there's one thing that differentiates them from you; they're not you.
